No One Is Waiting. Recorded from 2001-2004 variously in South and Mythic Central Jersey. "This from the era where everything went on the album. On the one hand, I was still very much in the throws of improvisation. Vocals could be just another instrument mixed low. You have songs like Gambler Hearts where the lyrics were improvised from the subconscious and put to tape without editing, and you have songs like Ghost of Charlemagne where I was writing lyrical poetry, and I was careful to structure the lines and my cadence in a such a way as to evoke multiple and potentially conflicting meanings. One experience invokes my subconscious, the other the listener's." Fan favorite, No Wait No Wait, closes the album with mind-bending hilarity.
