Gold Ammo Boy pursues Dr. Blowfish, mass-murdering genius criminal of the intergalactic underworld. On the corrupted industrial planet OlgUgthun he hopes to render overdue justice. Along the way, he must struggle to reconcile his identity with the memories he has inherited from generations of Gold Ammo Men.
This mostly instrumental soundtrack to the imaginary cartoon film Gold Ammo Boy is the first fully-realized electronic album from Faft.
"I composed these pieces with a lot of passion. I was able to approach my potential with the development of lush, dense orchestrations. The tracks where the titles are in quotes represent the protagonist's dialogue. Gold Ammo Boy is a cybernetic law-enforcing entity who succeeds previous iterations of Gold Ammo Men. Once there was a man, but that was a long time ago. Every time Gold Ammo Man perishes, his mind is transferred and the work continues. But there is a period of time where the new instantiation is not mature. Confusion sets in as the newly born creature adapts to thousands of years of personal history which is experienced like an intrusive fiction. No time can be wasted, however, as the elusive enemy is too close to let go. Can this child do what so many men before him could not? Those men, after all, were really him - how can it be different this time?"
