Surprisingly autobiographical in substance, this album is steeped in the malaise of a lost summer - somewhere near the "maybe-possibly" tail end of this pandemic, filled with anxiety, depression, and angst, I was thinking with love and compassion of loved ones going through so many difficulties, and looking for a miracle for my own. But the miracle is insight into life, not altering it. I always come back to gratitude, because this life is a blessed one. We're all miracles of our defects, from which our unique beauty originates. But please don't think this is an experiment devoid of humor, because I don't go anywhere without it.
Ultimately, I couldn't have been luckier than to have someone of the caliber and excellency of Kellii Scott playing drums on this album. Working in this way has allowed me to slow down, edit, and bring you something really personal and very special to me. I truly hope you enjoy this set of music. So much love went into creating it.
